Posted By Christina Towler,

June is Pride Month, and this year’s theme for Sydney Pride Month 2025 is "Love, Respect, Empower," celebrating diversity, unity, and equality. The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 2025 Festival will embrace the theme "Free to Be," honouring progress made while recognising the ongoing fight for LGBTQIA+ rights.Though we’ve come a long way, there’s still more to achieve. Happy Pride! 🏳️‍🌈

Happy 20th Wedding Anniversary to us!

From the moment our Viking-and-Māori saga began that day on the beach in Dahab, Egypt, life has been one epic adventure. Through all the highs, the chaos, the laughter, raising two amazing sons, sharing our home with a small zoo of pets who all think they run the place, you have been my best friend, my rock, and the one person who truly gets me. You’ve survived 25 years of my deep commitment to collecting more animals (and dresses) than necessary. Meanwhile, I’ve survived 25...

💐 Where do the Celebrant stand during the Ceremony? 💐

Posted By Christina Towler,
21/03/2025
As your celebrant, my placement is entirely tailored to your vision for your ceremony. Some couples prefer that I stand in the middle, as a supportive presence throughout the ceremony, or I can stand slightly to the side. The exact position may vary depending on the venue layout, cultural traditions, or the specific style of the ceremony. Ultimately, it depends on what feels most meaningful to you as a couple, and I’m happy to adjust my role to create the perfect atmosphere for...

How to Tell Your Love Story During Your Wedding Ceremony.

Posted By Christina Towler,
18/03/2025
One of my favourite parts of the ceremony is sharing your love story with your guests. You can either write your story in full, or if you prefer, you can email me some dot points, and I'll craft the story for your approval. Your love story can include anecdotes from your relationship, how you first met, the impressions you had of each other at the time and now, any adventures you've shared, and, if there was one, the proposal story. It can be fun, eventful, romantic, or a mix of...

Matching the Celebrant’s Look to Your Wedding Theme.

Your wedding is a huge deal, and every little detail makes it special. One important thing that often gets overlooked is what the celebrant wears. As the person officiating your special day, the celebrant not only needs to lead the ceremony with grace but also look the part and match the vibe of your wedding. I always ask my couples about their wedding's colour scheme and theme. This way, my outfit will complement the bridal party, bridal bouquet and decorations. Whether it’s a pastel garden...

How to Enjoy Your Big Day Without the Stress If you have social anxiety, fear of public speaking, or are simply very shy, you may dread the idea of a wedding with all eyes on you – even if you’re excited to marry your beloved. The obvious solution would be to elope or have a very small guest list with only your closest friends and family present. However, that’s not always a practical solution. Luckily, there are other ways to help prevent feelings of stage...
