Where does the celebrant stand during your ceremony? In the middle or off to the side? Great question, and the answer is… whatever feels right for you.
It’s actually traditional for the celebrant to stand in the middle, right between the couple. It’s the classic formation you’ll see in most weddings, and it can feel wonderfully grounding for couples who don’t love the spotlight and prefer a little celebrant‑shaped support.
If you choose the ‘middle’ option, I’ll still pop to the side for all the key moments: the processional, the hand‑over, your personal vows, the rings, the kiss, and that magic moment where I introduce you as newlyweds.
If you prefer a more modern look with me standing off to the side, that’s beautiful too. I’ll simply step in between you for the legal vows and the ring exchange.
There’s no right or wrong, just whatever helps you feel calm, connected and completely you.
